6-6:30 Zine Mobile show and tell — hear about the history and recent travels of the zine mobile; peruse the collection

6:30-7:30 zine readings!  anyone/everyone is encouraged to come read from their zine — protest theme encouraged; please limit reading to 5 minutes!

PROTEST KARAOKE at MOTHER FOOL’S COFFEEHOUSE, 1101 Williamson Street, 8-11 

Come sing protest (*in Opposition to Almost Anything) songs at Protest Karaoke!  All ages and free!!  Signup beginning at 7:30. Costumes are encouraged. (Mother Fool’s is a costume safe space.)

The Zine Mobile will be outside with open library hours from 8 – 10:30 — so if you’re not into karaoke, you can hang out there!

Twin Cities Zinefest MixerFriday September 21, 6-9pm, Boneshaker Books, 2002-23rd Ave, Minneapolis… Zine readings, delicious snacks by the touring vegan chef Josh Ploeg, and the Fly Away Zine Mobile parked outside with open library/reading hours! 

Twin Cities Zinefest Saturday, September 22, 12-6pm, Powderhorn Park Building, 3400-15th Ave S 
60+ exhibitors! Fly Away Zine Mobile in the parking lot! A table for kids! A pop-up table for those who didn’t get a table, or who have only one zine–so bring your zine and plop it on the table–we’ll sell it for you. Screen Printing on the Cheap doing demos! Food by the touring vegan chef Josh Ploeg! Release of the 2nd Twin Cities Zinefest Encyclopedia (thanks MCAD!)

Twin Cities Zinefest AfterpartySaturday, September 22, 8-11pm, Seward Cafe, 2129 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis… Music (Diva 93, DNR, Velveteens)! Snacks and treats from the amazing touring vegan chef Josh Ploeg. Donations requested–this is a hard working man. Bonfire! $3-5 with proceeds going towards next year’s Zinefest. Free with 2012 Zinefest button-get it at Zinefest for f-r-e-e!

Albuquerque Zine FestSaturday, October 6, 10am-7pm, The Kosmos, 1715-5th St. NW. Tabling of zines, workshops, panel discussions, informal gatherings and sale or bartering of zine-inspired DIY crafts.
